We are honored to have Brooks providing faux finishes in two separate homes at the Make a Wish Holiday Home Show in the beautiful wine country of Arrington, TN at Kings Chapel community. Together we have showcased many different techniques and applications.
Brooks worked with builder, Bob Sloan of Artistic Builders and designer Donna Henninger of Brentwood Staging. The country french style home had many interesting architectural elements that came to life with the help of Brooks’ paint brush. In the Dining Room he created a faux leopard skin ceiling and a gilded niche.
He painted and applied anaglyptic wallpaper to the coffered ceiling in the Den to replicate a tin ceiling.
He transformed the Fireplace into faux limestone with the help of E-crete.
In the Study he fauxed the ceiling in an upholstered two toned leather treatment.
The walls were glazed and stippled to compliment the ceiling.
In the Make a Wish Room we did a tribute to Chase Donnell. You can read about him here. Brooks painted a mural on canvas of Chase sitting on the Nashville Predators’ bench.
He used IdeaPaint to create a horizontal stripe around the room.
He used dry erase markers to write key phrases from Chase’s Make a Wish around the room to help convey his story.
