Nashville has some serious interior design talent. Nothing shows off this amazing talent like a Designer Show House. Designers are given some creative license to push the envelope, showcase new looks and try out ideas they have been holding on to for just the right space. We were honored to work with the rising star design talent, Gina Julian at the House for Hope Designer Show House. CHECK OUT OUR FEATURE IN DOMINO MAGAZINE.

Gina Julian Artist and Designer
Gina is first and foremost a fine artist. She paints amazing abstracts, portraits and graphic art. As a matter of fact, her whole room design was based on this piece she calls, Luca.
Gina Julian designed this room for the House for Hope in Franklin, TN around this painted she titled, Luca
Love the way this mirror reflects the room and the art.
You can check out Gina’s art website HERE.
House for Hope Wall Stencil
When Gina asked us to create a wall treatment for the House for Hope, we jumped at the chance to work with her. She asked for a subtle tone on tone pattern that would let the art really shine. We executed this Queen of Spain style stenciled treatment in Sherwin Williams 6057 Malted Milk. The walls were painted in a flat sheen and we applied the stencil in a gloss finish for the perfect tone on tone effect.
Here is a time lapse video of Brooks applying the stencil.
And here is a close up shot of the pattern.

And another piece of Op Art Gina painted for the room.
100% of the proceeds go to local charities.
The best part of working on this designer show house? It will raise over $100,000 for local children’s charities including one near and dear to my heart, Williamson County Young Life Capernaum. It is a local chapter of Young Life that ministers to special needs teens. Both of our children are actively involved in the group and it is a joy to be able to help fund such a worthwhile organization.

I love the queen of Spain wallpaper. However, it is so expensive. What a great idea to do a stencil of it. Did you create the stencil on your own?
Dana Tucker says
Thanks. We had is custom made. 🙂

This room is amazing!!! I’ve had this same stencil thought for years. Would you share the company that created the stencil? Thank you so much!
