I have the MOST AMAZING transformation to share with you today. I recently worked with one of my best friends on her extensive home remodel. I’m proud and excited to share her master bathroom reveal today. My friend wanted a light and bright hotel inspired bathroom. She had lots of photos to show me of things she liked which made pulling the selections for this bathroom really simple. She was easily persuaded to use one of my very favorite accent tiles, GREEK KEY along with oodles and oodles of marble tile. Ready to see it??
Bathroom Before
The bathroom before was Tuscan in style. It had faux painted walls and ceiling. The shower was closed and cramped and the big jacuzzi tub was out of style and taking up valuable floor space.
The white vanity didn’t have enough storage space and also needed a style update.
GREEK KEY AND MARBLE TILE
We designed the greek key tile to create a border all the way around the outside perimeter of the bathroom.
We selected a black marble to bridge the transition into the basket weave marble tile. It created the perfect classic, timeless flooring. I can’t imagine this will every be out of style.
I absolutely love the full wall of marble tile.
It feels so clean and fresh. And wide open with the frameless shower glass.
Shower niches are often inset with an accent tile. My preference is a continuation of the field tile so that it blends seamlessly into the wall.
Why would you want a shower niche to stand out in the middle of this gorgeous tile? Hmmmmmm.
Custom Bathroom Vanity
We had the custom vanity built with storage in mind. Drawers replaced doors wherever possible. All the doors and drawers were built to inset inside the cabinets for a clean look. The storage tower was added for towels and decorative accents. The hardware and faucets are from Restoration Hardware and the mirrors are from Pottery Barn. The vanity countertop, niche ledge, shower seat and coping is MSI Calacatta Vicenza.
A few Before/Afters
And a few detail shots.
All the lighting is from Visual Comfort.
Walls are painted BM Revere Pewter
Trim is painted BM Chantilly Lace
Vanity is painted BM Blue Note
