Painting Open House- You Are Invited!

If you’ve known us for any length of time you will have noticed that Brooks and I are a little addicted to painting and design. Our home is our training ground. It is constantly evolving as we try out new products and techniques, incorporate current trends, and makeover and update previously updated and made over rooms.

We fully recognize the fact that our home is NOT the norm. Most every single wall and ceiling and several floors and pieces of furniture have some type of paint or plaster finish.

This sparks lots of discussion when people visit. They usually ask, “can I bring so and so over to see this”. I always say, “yes”, but I think people are reluctant to take us up on it sometimes because they don’t want to impose. That’s why we are opening our house up to anyone and everyone who wants to come over and gawk.

Yes, we realize that no one would every pay to have all these finishes going on  in their own home all at the same time.

Yes, we think it’s a bit over the top too. Yes, there may be some imperfections in some of the finishes where we were just “trying something out” and haven’t gotten around to painting over it yet. But, we would still like to have you as our guests to have a look at what is possible in the world of decorative painting these days.

We will be showcasing multiple paint and plaster finishes. Some of the finishes you will see are: polished Venetian Plaster, murals, hand painted floors, stained metallic concrete, glazed cabinets, faux bricks with break away plaster, harlequin diamonds, concrete columns, multiple painted furniture pieces, metallic foils, textured plasters, multi layered paint finishes and animal print embossed stencils. Come and see fresh new ways to incorporate a beautiful decorative finish into your decor.
