Christmas House Tour- Tucker Style

The most wonderful time of the year.............that is... unless the head of the hauling and unpacking committee of your Christmas decorations is the Grinch and Scrooge morphed into a single person. Let's just say that Brooks reluctantly participates in the Christmas decorating each year. I think the reason he dreads it so much is because he has stacks and stacks of boxes and bins to weed through in the garage until he finds our Christmas decor. He has to pull everything out, scatter it all over the garage, go through it bin by bin to locate our stuff. Then he has to re-pack it all back up. Not his favorite thing- by far. You know the commercials you see of families lovingly hanging ornaments on the tree gathered around a roaring fire? Yeah, that's not us. But, once everything is unpacked, trimmed, and lovingly placed, he quickly recovers his Christmas spirit and enjoys the sights and sounds of the season. ​

Want to see how we decorate for the Holidays? This year we moved the Christmas Tree into my office. I LOVE IT IN HERE! Now I can sit at my desk and watch the twinkling lights all day. ​

Those wreaths have been with us for at least 10 years. They are made of rolled up vintage Christmas books. I wish I would have thought of that!!

I love mixing vintage pieces into my Christmas decor as much as possible. I'm always on the lookout for brass deer, ceramic trees, unique candle holders, and aluminum trees.

One of the awesome things about this house is that we don't have a dining room. For us, that would be wasted space. So our kitchen is our dining room and it's fun to decorate this large space. ​
