Nashville Lifestyles At Home Award

Do you guys remember THIS BATHROOM that I shared a couple of months ago? It had miles and miles of beautiful marble tile, greek key border tile and a beautiful blue vanity? Well……… it was just recognized as one of the top three bathroom remodels in Nashville by Nashville Lifestyles AT HOME magazine. We are so excited to be in such great company in this issue with some of Nashville’s TOP designers. On news stands now if you want to pick up a copy.

This same multiple room client renovation project was also featured this month on VISIBLE STYLE. Leslie is an amazing photographer and really made our client’s home feel so light, bright and airy. Please visit her website to see her beautiful work. 

I thought it would be fun to show you these spaces before so you can appreciate the huge change that happened in this home. These homeowners are some of my best friends, so it was really a dream project. They have lived in this house for over a decade and it was time for an update to several rooms. 

The Office Makeover

Right inside the front door sat a room that no one used. EVER. My friend wanted an office/retreat/music room. She knew she wanted built ins and a desk and wanted it to feel light and bright. She had a family piano that we needed to work around. The current room had brown faux finished walls and ceilings. Here’s the before.

Want to hear something funny? We didn’t buy any of this furniture? We shopped for it from other rooms in her house. Love how it all came together. 

The Dining Room Makeover

Directly across from the office is the dining room. It also felt dark and dated. My friends are beach lovers. They have lots of shell collections all over the house, so I wanted to bring that beach feeling into this room. We worked with their existing table and chairs, but added the wallpaper, lighting, and accessories. We were on the fence about painting the ceiling, but I love the way it works with the new look and feel of this room.
